| History | | The Department of Logistics Management was opened within the Iğdır University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences with the decision of the Council of Higher Education dated 28.05.2020 and numbered 75850160-301.01.02-E.32144 and accepted its first students in the 2020-2021 academic year. | | History | | The Department of Logistics Management was opened within the Iğdır University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences with the decision of the Council of Higher Education dated 28.05.2020 and numbered 75850160-301.01.02-E.32144 and started accepting its first students from the 2020-2021 academic year. | | Qualification Awarded | | Those who successfully complete the Department of Logistics Management and obtain the right to graduate are awarded a "Logistics Management Bachelor" diploma. With this diploma, graduates receive the title of "Logistics manager and logistics expert". | | Level of Qualification (Short Cycle , First Cycle , Second Cycle, Third Cycle) | | First Cycle | | Specific Admission Requirements | | Higher Education under the rules established by the Republic of Turkey and Assessment, Selection and Placement Center according to the accepted degree examination conducted by the center and recording operations are performed. | | Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) | | | Qualification Requirements and Regulations | | In order to obtain the graduation right; Along with the conditions determined by the Higher Education Council, the Iğdır University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Directorate, the directives created by Iğdır University, the legal regulations regarding the discipline, and the conditions regarding the absenteeism limits for the course must be met. With the fulfillment of all necessary conditions, those who have the right to graduate are given a certificate confirming their graduation according to Iğdır University Diploma Directive. Foreign students are also accepted to the department. | | Profile of The Programme | | The Department of Logistics Management includes an optional English Preparatory Program. The education period (excluding the English Preparatory Program) is planned as 4 years (8 semesters). Although the courses are theoretical and Turkish, they include vocational English, a second foreign language and compulsory workplace practice (internship). | | Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples | | At the end of their undergraduate education, our graduates can work in national and international transportation (such as road, seaway, airline, railway) and logistics enterprises, and in the business branches of freight and passenger transportation in public institutions and private enterprises. In addition, they will be able to work in businesses that carry out transportation and logistics activities within their own organization, businesses or institutions dealing with customs and foreign trade. In addition, supply chain management, transportation and logistics consultancy are other study subjects for the graduates of the department. By providing the necessary legal conditions, our graduates; They will also be able to carry out their own businesses as an entrepreneur in agency management, transport organization, transport brokerage, distribution management and other transport activities.
On the other hand, graduates of the logistics department also gain some legal rights. The Middle Level Manager (ODY) Certificate issued by the Ministry of Transport can be obtained from the east without training and examination, and the Senior Manager (ÜDY) Certificate can be obtained directly from the examination, if they are successful in the examination by obtaining the right to take the examination. Legal rights:
Logistics management department graduates gain the following legal rights (according to the laws applicable in 2020):
T.R. They can obtain the Mid-Level Executive Certificate (ODY), which is given by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, by direct application, exempt from the training and exams conducted by the Ministry.
On the other hand, they can get the Senior Manager (ÜDY) Certificate on the condition that they are successful in the exam by obtaining the right to take the exam directly, exempt from education.
