The Department of Traditional Turkish Arts was established on 14.11.2011 with the decision of the Council of Ministers with the decision number 2011/2471. Research Assistants assigned to our University within the scope of ÖYP were assigned to receive their education from the relevant universities. In the Fall semester of the 2019-2020 academic year, student applications were accepted for the first time. The Department of Traditional Turkish Arts is taking firm steps forward to become an educational institution where artists who have a voice in their field will be trained, with its newly established ateliers and expert education staff. |

Have a high school graduation diploma; To be in compliance with the conditions specified in the Special Talent Examination directive of the Traditional Turkish Arts Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Iğdır University; To be successful in the Special Talent Exam. |
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
For lateral transfers to the faculty, the provisions of the Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer published in the Official Gazette dated 24.4.2010 and numbered 27561 are applied. In vertical transitions; The provisions of the Regulation on the Continuation of Undergraduate Education of Graduates of Vocational Schools and Open Education Associate Degree Programs published in the Official Gazette dated 19.2.2002 and numbered 24676 are applied. The provisions of the Regulation on Obtaining Associate Degree Diploma or Adaptation to Vocational Schools of those who have not completed or cannot complete their undergraduate education, published in the Official Gazette dated 18.3.11989 and numbered 20112, shall apply to the transition of those who have not completed or cannot complete their undergraduate education to vocational schools. The provisions of the Higher Education Executive Board Decision of 08/01/2015 regarding the implementation principles of the Council of Higher Education are applied.

The original styles and patterns of traditional Turkish arts have been in different regions and regions for centuries.
It has come to the present day by maturing with the accumulation of cultures. The aim of the department is to teach its students traditional Turkish arts while providing a qualified education where they can transform this knowledge into original works with the principles and methods of contemporary design.

Graduates can carry out their artistic works in their own workshops, as well as work as designers in public institutions and private companies, or in the restoration teams of historical monuments in the collections of museums and libraries related to the field. |
