Objectives of the Course
To introduce and teach the art of kat-ı, which is one of the Book Arts, and to work practically on Leather, Paper and Fabric. The aim of the program is to train artists who can prepare the materials they need, create compositions, and interpret and apply the art of Solidarity together with other traditional branches of art. It is an art that requires great patience and effort. The art of kati has a very important place among the arts of calligraphy, binding and illumination. The personal characteristics, entry qualifications and learning needs of each student will be determined. A unitized annual plan and lesson plan will be prepared for each course. In the selection of teaching materials, attention will be paid to the selection of visual and auditory teaching materials. The teaching materials to be used in the course will be determined by the instructor. In determining teaching activities, the purpose of teaching, the requirements of the teaching process and multiple intelligences will be taken as basis. During teaching, plans will be adhered to as much as possible, and necessary changes and arrangements will be made depending on changing needs, opportunities and conditions over time. Continuous evaluations will be made throughout the teaching process, deficiencies and mistakes in individuals' learning will be noticed in a timely manner and necessary corrective and complementary learning activities will be put into action. At the end of the teaching process, the student's success will be measured and evaluated with appropriate measurement tools.

The curriculum to be followed in the Solid Art Education program is as follows; -Recognizing paper types -Paper painting techniques -Vegetal motifs used in kati' art -Bare fold carving exercises -Carving techniques in symmetrical motifs -Male-Female carving technique -Starch pudding preparation and pasting applications -Analysis of solid works in manuscripts and plates -Original motif drawing and application related to all techniques -Basic techniques of multilayer carving -Gold paper preparation and application -Carved border, crown, angle application -Layered flower and tree applications -Carved Garden application -Stories flower and tree analysis -Carved line (positive and negative) applications -Application of 'solid' to the line edge -Edge pattern, inner border, pattern drawing and application
