General Description
History
The Electrical and Electronics Engineering department was established in 2008 under the Engineering Faculty of Iğdır University. The department started to accept students in the academic year of 2016 -2017.
Qualification Awarded
The students who successfully complete the programme are awarded the title of "Electrical and Electronics Engineer".

Specific Admission Requirements
Turkish Nationals need to obtain a sufficient score in the MF-4 category of the nationwide University Entrance Examination administered by OSYM. International student admission is carried out according to the regulations set forth by the Registrar's Office.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
If the student has taken some courses in an institution of higher education either within the country or abroad before starting the Departmental program, it may be possible to transfer these credits. Profile of The Programme
The purpose of the program is to contribute to the accumulation of scientific and technological knowledge in various fields of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, to train highly qualified engineers equipped with state of the art knowledge and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, and to support the country's technological progress by collaborating with industrial partners.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Our graduates do not encounter difficulty in finding employment. Most of our graduates are either employed as engineers by Turkey's leading companies such as TEDAS, TEIAS, and TURK TELEKOM.

Students who graduate from this program can apply to study in postgraduate programs. Qualifications Framework for European Higher Education Area (QF-EHEA): 2-3 European Qualifications Framework- Life Long Learning (EQF-LLL): 7-8

The department consist of 1 research laboratory, 1 Basic Electrical and Electronics laboratory, and 1 Computer laboratory.
