The importance of occupational health and safety of workers, emphatically, in terms of employers and employees, to present a structure that combines theory and practice.

4	Students will be able to understand Engineer's responsibility the terms of occupational safety.
5	Students will be able to have basic information about first aid.

Objectives and content of the course, outlines of the course, the aim of health and safety,Basic concepts of health and safety such as injuries at work, occupational disease, historical development of health and safety, health and safety applications in Turkey and all over the world, ,Health and safety legislation ,Occupational health and safety standard: Ohsas 1800 ,Organisation of health and safety, duties and responsibilities of the ones who ar responsible for health and safety ,Responsibilities of government, employers and workers ,types of Incident and accident , occupational disease, prevention methods of diseases and accidents.

5	Organisation of health and safety, duties and responsibilities of the ones who are responsible for health and safety
6	Responsibilities of government, employers and workers
7	Types of Incident and accident , occupational disease, prevention methods of diseases and accidents
8	Mid-term exam
9	Cost of occupational disease and accidents to worker, to employers and national economy, subsidies in case of occupational disease and accidents
10	Hazard and risk , methodologies in risk evaluation
11	Importance of education, encouragement, disciplinary penalty, and ergonomic in health and safety
12	Personal protective equipment, health and safety signs
13	Some precautions that must be taken in different construction activities, noise, vibration and fire, legal and administrative process in case of occupational accidents
14	First aid in accidents
