The Aviation Department has been opened by Iğdır University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and it has received its first students in 2019-2020 Academic Year. |
Qualification Awarded |
When the department is successfully completed and the required qualifications are provided, the graduates of the department are given the diploma. Graduates can work at offiicial instutions in the field of aviation or at private airlines, airports and other aviation companies.

The recognition of prior learning process is still at an early stage in the institutions of higher education in Turkey. Therefore, the recognition of prior learning is not literally initiated in all programs of Igdir University. |

Profile of The Programme |
All courses are taught theoretically in the Department of Aviation Management. In the first two semesters, courses are given to provide the basic skills related to aviation. Our students can take elective courses from the 3rd semester. |

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
In The Department of Aviation, students take at least 1 midterm and final exam for each coursework. Addition short-exams and homework can be given. For evaluation, mid-term activities/tests contribute 40 % to overall grading. The rest is contributed by the final exam score. All tests are evaluated based on 100 points and the class average is considered. The lecturers convert numerical scores into 4-letter grading category. Attendance is required. Students are not permitted to pursue further year if sequentially graduate-point averages (GPA) below 2.00. Grades AA, BA, BB, CB, and CC took for coursework are considered “pass”. Evaluation of grades DC and DD was taken for a course is subjected to students’ GPA. If GPA is above 2.00, grades DC and DD for a lecture are considered “pass”. Grade FF indicates “fail”. Lectures evaluated by grades M and G are not included in the overall GPA calculation.
