The Civil Aviation and Cabin Services Program was established in Iğdır Vocational School of Iğdır University in 2018 and began accepting students in the 2018-2019 academic year. |

Specific Admission Requirements |
The students are placed to the program by central Placement Test. However, the students are required to have some additional requirements for their final registration. The conditions laid down in the manual prepared by ÖSYM are as follows:
CIVIL AVIATION CABIN SERVICES (pre-license) training qualifications required to perform the profession:
1) No forensic registry archive registration.
2) For women to have 160 cm-180 cm (weight, the height of the length expressed in centimeters of the last two figures more than 5 kilograms or 15 kilograms of deficiency weight).
3) For men to have between 170-190 cm (weight, the height of the length expressed in centimeters of the last two digits of more than 5 kilograms or 15 kilograms of deficiency weight).
4) Health status to be available for flight (Health Aviation Directorate They should report that they are suitable for flight.
5) When the uniform is there isnt any visible worn, tattooing, scarring etc. |
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
The rules and regulations for recognition of formal prior learning are well defined. Transfer can be made among the institutions of which equivalency is recognized by Higher Education Council. Also successful vocational school graduates to continue their educaiton to obtain Bachelor’s degrees if they are successful in the selection and the placement examination (DGS, i.e. vertical transfer examination) are admitted. The courses to be taken by these students are determined by the relevant department, on the basis of courses they have completed in the programs from which they have graduated. Recognition of prior nonformal and in-formal learning is at the beginning stage in Turkish Higher Education Institutions. Igdir University and hence of the Department is not an exception to this. However, exams of exemption are organised at the start of each year at the University for the courses of English Language and Computer Skills. The students who have completed the proficiencies for these courses on his/her own or through other means, and believe that they have achieved the learning outcomes specified are given the right to take the exemption exam. The students who achieve a passing grade from these exams are held exempt from the related course in the curriculum. |
Qualification Requirements and Regulations |
As mentioned in "Igdir University Undergraduate and Graduate Courses in Higher Education Regulation", the students must succeed and get an average at least 2.0 out of 4.0 from all the courses except the "YÖK" courses which must also be succeeded. Civil Aviation and Cabin Services Program is completed after the theoretical education and practical training period of 2 years. The courses in the educational process consists of the lectures in the areas of aviation knowledge, communication and English Language |
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples |
Those who complete the Civil Aviation and Cabin Services Program will be able to find employment in the airline companies, in particular as a civilian crew member (cabin crew). In addition, the foreign language and communication courses will provide a significant contribution to their careers and they will have the opportunity to find jobs in different sectors such as the tourism sector. |

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
The examinations and the measurement and evaluation of these exams are done in accordance with"Iğdır University Associate and Bachelor's Degree Education and Examination Regulations". |

Civil Aviaiton and Cabin Services Programme, which is completed with a total of 120 ECTS successfully completed all courses and the internship, the students must have at least 2.00 out of 4.00 weighted grade point average required to achieve. |
