History | It was established in 2009 and started to accept students in 2011-2012.
| Qualification Awarded | CHILD DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIAN-A graduate student is given an associate degree diploma in a pre-school teacher assistant/teacher assistant program in special education.
| Level of Qualification (Short Cycle , First Cycle , Second Cycle, Third Cycle) | Short Cycle | Specific Admission Requirements | In order to be eligible to study at our university, Turkish students must take the "Higher Education Transition Examination (YGS)" organized by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) and be placed in a program run by Iğdır University in accordance with their scores and preferences. In addition, the student who wants to register should not be registered in any higher education institution. Foreign students who want to study at our university must take the Foreign Student Exam (YÖS), which is also organized by ÖSYM. There is detailed information on the subject on the website of the Council of Higher Education: http://www.yok.gov.tr/ Final registration dates, documents required for registration and the principles to be applied are determined and announced by the University Administrative Board in accordance with the provisions of the law.
| Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) | Formal | Qualification Requirements and Regulations | They give music, painting, drama, gymnastics, computer training to children who are treated in pre-school and special education institutions, playrooms in children's clinics, provide them with a pleasant time, and apply first aid rules.
| Profile of The Programme | The lessons included in the lesson plan of the pre-school teacher assistant / teacher assistant in special education program cover the education-training and internship practices in the content of the modules under these courses.
| Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples | Students who graduated from the program of pre-school teacher assistant / teacher assistant in special education program, in line with the competencies they gained; They are employed in pre-school education institutions such as kindergartens, kindergartens, kindergartens, Rehabilitation Centers, children's clubs, special education institutions and inclusive education classes of girls' technical and vocational high schools, primary schools and public and private institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education.
| Access to Further Studies | Horizontal and vertical transfers are made in line with the relevant legislation of YÖK. Vertical transfer can be made to Child Development Education and Pre-School Teaching departments.
| Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading | Theoretical exams are made in accordance with the course content, with multiple choice, filling in the blanks, correct and incorrect statements, comparative and open-ended. Applied courses are evaluated with a practice exam.
| Graduation Requirements | To have completed 120 ECTS in at least 4 semesters.

| Facilities | There are equipped classrooms where theoretical education about the related courses can be done and material preparation and drama workshops for practical studies. Students are directed to cooperate with universities, non-governmental organizations, pre-school teacher assistant / teacher assistant in special education department, professional chambers and professional staff, and academic staff on the teaching activities, employment opportunities and planning required by the program. |
