To get at least 55 from the ALES exam conducted by OSYM, to graduate from the relevant departments of 4-year faculties.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
The provisions of the “Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfers” are applied.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
The student must obtain a weighted grade point average of at least 65 out of 100 from the courses available in the graduate programs of the Department or other related Departments, corresponding to at least 120 ECTS, and the student must give one seminar during the course phase. The student whose thesis proposal is accepted carries out a thesis in a field related to his/her subject. Students who successfully defend their thesis in front of a selected jury are awarded a Master's degree in Soil Science and Plant Nutrition.
Profile of The Programme
To produce information on a universal scale in order to protect soil-water resources and natural environment, to improve their qualities, to ensure their sustainable use, to increase plant production and to solve productivity problems, for this purpose, equipped with the necessary modern knowledge and experience, conducting independent research, conducting scientific events with a broad and deep perspective. To raise individuals who have gained the ability to make comments and determine the necessary steps to reach new syntheses, and who can serve at international standards in their own position.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduates of the department are in the provincial and district directorates of agriculture and agricultural research institutes affiliated to the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, in the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, in state water works under the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs, in the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Universities, Special Provincial Administrations, Municipalities, public and private working in banks, chambers of agriculture, agricultural credit cooperatives, irrigation unions, insurance companies, engineering companies operating in land consolidation, private agricultural consultancy institutions, soil, plant, water and fertilizer analysis laboratories, chemical and organic fertilizer factories, drug, seed and fertilizer dealers they find opportunities.
Access to Further Studies
Candidates who have successfully completed their Master's education will receive the ALES base score to be determined by the Senate in the numerical score type for Science and one of the accepted foreign languages; They can study in doctoral programs, provided that they get the base score to be determined by the Senate from the UDS, KPDS, TOEFL or equivalent exams accepted by YÖK.

Facilities
The Department of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition provides training in the modern Plant Nutrition and Soil Fertility Laboratory, Instrumental Analysis Laboratory, where all kinds of soil, plant, water, fertilizer and environmental wastes can be analyzed and equipped with new technology tools and equipment, and in the Soil Physics Laboratory where soil conservation and erosion studies are carried out. -continues teaching and research activities.
