History | The Postal Services Program at our Vocational School has been operational since the 2019 – 2020 academic year. | Qualification Awarded | QF-EHEA: Short Level
EQF-LLL : Level 5 | Level of Qualification (Short Cycle , First Cycle , Second Cycle, Third Cycle) | Short Cycle | Specific Admission Requirements | Students are accepted through the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS). The exam is held once a year and is organized by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Candidates can enter the program with the TYT score type. | Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) | | Qualification Requirements and Regulations | To complete the current program with a minimum 2.00 General Grade Point Average (GPA) provided that he/she takes all the courses required for graduation within the legal period and is successful in these courses. | Profile of The Programme | The student who successfully completes the program;
1. Have intermediate level foreign language knowledge in the field.
2. Gain knowledge and awareness of social responsibility, ethical values and social security rights in matters related to his/her field.
3. Have sufficient knowledge of law, which should be in the personnel required by both the public and the private sector.
4. Have basic statistical knowledge about the field.
5. In line with the requirements of the day, he/she will have information about the manner and procedures of the works and transactions such as money order, check acceptance-payment and collection transactions related to the acceptance, transportation and distribution of all kinds of postal shipments.
6. Have information about domestic and international money transfer and postal check acceptance and payment transactions, effective foreign exchange transactions, Türk Telekom, Türksat, GSM, water, electricity and natural gas bill collections, bank collection transactions and other banking activities.
7. Have information about the shipments automation system, registered shipments, APG, notification documents and acceptance of cargo, entering the system, making the necessary registration, delivery and dispatch operations on the system.
8. Gains knowledge of transportation in Turkey and in the world, uses the tools, equipment and machinery used in PTT workplaces.
9. Have information about address and its components, address and numbering regulations, address writing standards, map and road information, urban and intercity transportation information, international road information, geographical information systems.
10.Analyzes the classification of letter mail, prohibitions in mail, exceptions and the control of postal mails with the procedures to be applied.
11.Fulfills requests regarding money transfer transactions and shipment, ownership and responsibility, payment of transfers and identification, transfers that are characteristic of payment, unpaid transfers and transfers.
12. Analyzes the requirements of the legislation regarding the size and limits of the cargo, the prohibitions in the cargo, the issues to be complied with and the packaging rules. | Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples | | Access to Further Studies | | Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading | As a general rule, assessment is made on 1 midterm (40%) and 1 final exam (60%) per course.
