Objectives of the Course |
To teach significance of perennial forage crops for sustainable agriculture, growing techniques and country’s policies on the matter. To adopt the value of perennial forage crops in pasture improvement, agricultural activities and erosion and to use them in soil conservation projects. |

Present status of animal husbandry in the country and significance of perennial forage crops, effect of perennial forage crops on soil sources and conservation, fundamentals of production, obstacles and solutions for growing and harvest techniques. Quality characteristics of perennial forage crops. Breeding and biotechnology. Cool and warm season forage grasses and legumes. Perennial forage crops from other families. İnternal and international subsidies and laws and regulations for perennial forage crops cultivation. |
