Dersin Amacı
The aim of this course is to provide the students with the ability to calculate basic cycle analysis by understanding the working principles of gas turbine engines. It also introduces the major components of each gas turbine engine.

Thermodynamics of aircraft/rocket/missile etc. propulsion and gas turbine engines, basic calculations and theoretical analysis and design of propulsion systems.

8To introduce static thrust, velocity-altitude-temperature, climate effects, engine efficiencies; by-pass ratio and pressure ratio, pressure, temperature and velocity of gas flow
9Major components: Turbines and Compressors introduction and thermodynamic analysis
10Major components: Combustion chamber introduction and thermodynamic analysis
11Chemical reactions in the combustion chamber and its relationship with propulsion
