Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to ensure that students get the information about functions, organization and history of political parties in Turkey.

1	To define function and organization of the Political Party Law, to propose solutions about shortcomings of the Political Parties Law and relation with democracy
2	To analyze relation of organization and functions of political parties with democracy

Headquarters, major convention, chairman, central decision making, management and enforcement bodies, and central disciplinary board of political parties Political parties provincial, district, town organizations, congresses; elections; arragement of congress and its rules

2	Headquarters, major convention, chairman, central decision making, management and enforcement bodies, and central disciplinary board of political parties
3	Political parties provincial, district, town organizations, congresses; elections; arragement of congress and its rules
4	Establishment of political party groups in Turkish Grand National Assembly; Group general assembly and its management, discipline and work rules
5	Political parties participation in elections; determination of party candidates; District election boards; and pre-selection mechanism
6	Political party discipline rules, Books and papers kept by political parties; income, resources, and expenses of political parties; intra-party financial transactions; and auditing of political parties by the Constitutional Court
7	Prohibitions about the objectives and activities of political parties; closure of political parties or closure conditions and application methods
