Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is for the students to learn about problem perspectives and basic concepts, theoretical approaches related to social issues, and to develop proposals for solving the dynamics of social problems by understanding the theoretical dimension of various social problems worldwide and in Turkey.

This course covers the concept of social issues and its relationship with social work, as well as topics such as Pandemics, Poverty, Unemployment, Migration and Society, Terrorism and War, Violence Against Women, Child Neglect and Abuse, Crime and Guilt, Problems in Education, Addiction, Discrimination, Climate Change and Environment, and Aging Population.
