The importance of horse breeding, historical development of horse husbandry in Turkey. Horse in zoological system, origin of horses, domestication of horses Horse breeds, light horses and heavy horses, horse breeds raised in Turkey Coat color, patterns and markings, inheritance of coat colors Management and nutrition, importance of manegement and nutrition Managing and feding foals, managing and feeding of mares, oestrus and its detection, pregnancy and foaling management and feeding of stallions, feeding of race horses, abnormalities in way of going Age determination, age determination methods, the importance of body measurements Selection, heritability Improvement of race performance by selection applied samples of heritability problems Inherited defects, inheritance of hereditary defects, Inherited defects observed in horses, elimination of hereditary defects Breed and parent determination, coat color examination, morphological examinations, race performance, blood test Horse races, purpose of horse races.
