Objectives of the Course
The course aims to familiarize the student with the conditions preparing for the emergence of international organizations, the different approaches of different IR schools to them, the structure and the activities of the different international organizations carrying their activities in the areas of global governance such as security, economy, human rights besides providing a critical approach to analyze the different dimensions of international organizations.

Learning Outcomes
1At the end of the semester the student satisfying the course requirements can analyze the roles played by the international organizations in global governance and their interaction with other actors.
2He/she can asses how the international organizations have evolved throughout the history.
3He/she can distinguish among the different types of international organizations and explain the roles played by them.
4He/she can explain how global governance is carried out by international organizations in areas such as security and peace, money and finance, development and human rights and exemplify their activities.
5He/she can analyze how different IR traditions are able to explain the roles of international organizations in global governance in the real World.
