Objectives of the Course
To recognize the cultural, stylistic and technical features of jazz music practices, to obtain historical information about these practices.

Learning Outcomes
1To be able to identify the important moments in the historical development of jazz music,
2To be able to define the styles and performance styles in jazz music.
3To be able to evaluate the harmonic and performance-based features of jazz music within the framework of the periodical features of jazz history.
4To be able to define the terms of jazz music (such as Groove, laid-back, blue note, chorus, polyrhythm, syncope, turn arround)
5To be able to identify the contributions of important musicians of jazz music to the genre.
