Objectives of the Course
The aim of the Complementary Approaches in the Field of Health course is to help the student comprehend complementary approaches that support medical treatment and nursing care and include scientific-based beliefs and practices in order to preserve, maintain and reorganize homeostatic balance in line with human aid and holistic approach. In this direction, it is aimed to develop the knowledge of complementary approaches that will serve to protect the body, mind, emotion and spiritual integrity of the patient, which will support the medical treatment and nursing care of the patient.

1-Introduction, introduction, the place of the course in the program, the objectives of the course, the teaching of the course/method, application and evaluation process, 2- The importance of complementary approaches to create a healing environment in essence, 3- The importance of raising awareness of the individual with complementary approaches and revealing their own healing potential, 4- Various complementary, supportive and traditional approaches used from the existence of humanity to the present day, 5-The contribution of complementary and supportive practices to the maintenance and development of the individual's well-being, 6- The importance of using complementary and supportive practices in disease symptom management together with medical treatment and nursing care, 7-Traditional and complementary approach strategies within the scope of the World Health Organization and other international organizations, 8-Traditional and complementary approach strategies in Turkey, 9- The field of study of the Department of Traditional and Complementary Medicine Practices of the Ministry of Health and the legal approach, laws and regulations within this scope, 10- Mind-body based complementary approaches (hypnosis and hypnotherapy, music therapy, yoga) 11- Manipulative and body-based complementary approaches (Aromatherapy, exercise, massage, reflexology, hot and cold applications), 12- Complementary approaches based on energy (touch and therapeutic touch, reiki) 13- Biologically based complementary approaches (phytotherapy), 14- Alternative medical systems/traditional health systems (acupressure, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation),
