Objectives of the Course
Students will be able to plan and apply care for the family by knowing the process of the disabled person and their family by using their many roles and independent functions such as caregiver, educator, decision maker, consultant, advocate, while carrying out their studies in this field.

Introduction to the Concept of Disability, Disability Profile in the World and in Turkey, How Does the Community Understand Disability?, Attitude, Theoretical Framework Explaining the Formation and Change of Attitude, Attitude Changing Techniques, Sexual Health for Persons with Disabilities, Employment of Disabled People in Turkey, Employers' Approach to Disabled Employment, Having a Disabled Person, The Effect of Disabled Person's Presence on Family Dynamics, Disabled Person Spiritual Dimension of Home Care, Occupational Therapy in Disability, Schooling Status of the Disabled Child and Characteristics, Health Requirements, Questions Faced by the Disabled Child and the Role of the School Nurse Responsibilities, Sports for Disabled Individuals and Children, Risky Behaviors for Disabled Individuals and Children (Cigarette, Alcohol, Bad Habits, Violence), Acute and Chronic Problems in Children with Disabilities, Safe Environment, Disabled Nutritional Disorders in Individuals, Children and Adolescents, Inadequate Physical Activity Disabled Individuals and Rehabilitation of the Child and Prevention of Disability.
