Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course is to enable the student to identify and interpret Celtic mythology and history, Nordic mythology and Biblical mythology so that he/she can identify these mythological elements in texts and discuss their significance, and better understand the history, social history and culture of Britain.

11. recognises the main concepts, characters and events in Celtic culture and mythology, Scandinavian culture and mythology, and the Bible and Christianity. 2. identifies, discusses and analyses these elements in various literary texts. 3. identifies these elements in fine arts and performing arts. 4. compares and contrasts Celtic culture and mythology, Scandinavian culture and mythology, and the Bible and Christianity with other mythologies.

In this course, Celtic culture and mythology, Scandinavian culture and mythology, basic knowledge about the Bible and Christianity as well as Biblical mythology are introduced and discussed.
