Objectives of the Course
The concept of children and play, importance of children's playgrounds and children's playground design principles are aimed to be given.

Course Contents
In this course, the child's biological, cognitive, social development processes and skills, needs and wishes in these processes will be discussed and will be focus on the concept of the play. Also will be given clues about importance of play for child, necessity of playing for children in open spaces, activities children can do and they want to do in these areas, children's expectations on the playground. Eventually will be given information about the important points when designing a playground for children need to be considered in open spaces and design processes.
