Objectives of the Course
1. To provide students with information and skills that will enable them to be successful in their academic career. 2. To provide students with a background knowledge base of grapevine and viticulture 3. To acquaint students with viticulture of world and Turkey. 4. To provide students with information about principles of viticulture and ecological requirements of grapevine. 5. Help students to understand the basic information about grapevine morphology 6. To provide students with base information and skills about grapevine propagation and vineyard planning and management. 7. To provide students with information and tools about cultural practices of viticulture

Learning Outcomes
1Students will have background knowledge of Turkey and world viticulture and, will be able to discuss this subject
2Students will be able to choose vineyard site considering to climate and soil condition and, to decide that which rootstock-scion combination will be used in planning vineyard for which aim (table, raisin and wine production)
3Studentds will have information about grapevine morphology and, will be able to define the morphological structures of grapevine.
4Students will be able to propagate grapevine by using different propagation methods and, have information and skills about planning, setting up and management of vineyard.
5Students will have information and skill about vineyard practices and, will be able to make these practices, to define vineyard problems and, have approach to solve these problems.
