Objectives of the Course |
The course aim is to introduce and create awareness for existing of the plant species belonging to the other families which appropriating for the aquaculture and growing in natural areas as forages except forage species (Legumes and grasses forage) that widely grown in agricultural areas. Also, it is to give the necessary information about nutrient contents, climate and soil requirements, cultivation and use in the different areas of these species |

This course covers the follwing topics: concept of alternative forage crops, classification of alternatife forage plants, growing techniques of pigweed, forage beet, saltbush, forage kochia, mustard, small burnet, common dandelion, chicory, lacy phacelia, plantain, knotweed, bindweed, mallow, purlane and some forage shrubs |
