Objectives of the Course
To analyze the links of contemporary Turkish poetry with classical Turkish poetry, which is a long-established literary tradition. To understand the orientation and current position of Turkish poetry.

1 Knows the social, political and historical events that play a role in the development of Turkish poetry. Knows the stages of Turkish poetry from the beginning to the present. Gains knowledge of the general features, groups, generations and trends of contemporary Turkish poetry. Selects examples of poetry to use in Turkish lessons from contemporary Turkish poetry. Have knowledge about important representatives and works of contemporary Turkish poetry.

Course Contents
Literary trends, products and literary conflicts seen in Turkish poetry from the 1940s to the present will be introduced together. Poetics of literary journals representing these literary groups alone will be determined.
