Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to have students understand the importance of maps in environmental applications, and to introduce map variants, and ways to utilization them.

1To recognize the basic elements of the map
2To recognize the types of map
3To learn the methods of preparation of various physical (geology, geomorphology, climate, hydrography, soils and vegetation), Humanities (population, settlement) and economic (agricultural, mining, transport, industry and tourism) maps
4To interpret of various thematic maps
5To perform applications such as restricting the basin, slope, length, area computation on the maps
6To use the maps prepared for a variety of purposes
