| Mode of Delivery | Daytime Class | Prerequisites and co-requisities | | Recommended Optional Programme Components | | Course Contents | This course includes summarizing the developmental processes of infancy, childhood, and adolescence; explaining the concept of mental health and classifying mental illnesses; discussing the young adulthood period, developmental tasks, and the biological and psychological aspects of young adulthood; addressing the social and environmental aspects of young adulthood such as forming a family, choosing a partner, and family life cycle; examining the social and environmental aspects of young adulthood concerning effective communication between parents and children, parenting attitudes, and some emotional and behavioral issues; exploring the biological aspects of middle age, including physical functions, sensory organs, menopause-andropause, and midlife crisis; discussing the psychosocial aspects of middle age, including developmental tasks of middle age and the importance of communication; analyzing the social and environmental aspects of middle age, including macro-micro theories related to middle age, poverty and unemployment, and family problems; discussing the developmental tasks of old age; examining the biological and psychological aspects of old age, including diseases of old age and theories related to successful aging; exploring the social and psychological aspects of old age, including the impact of life events on aging, guidelines for moderate psychological preparation for aging, death, and euthanasia; discussing the process of death and mourning; addressing the problems encountered in old age and social work applications; and concluding with an evaluation of the topics. | Weekly Detailed Course Contents | |
