Objectives of the Course
The aim is to enable students taking the course to learn about Turkey's societal structure and issues throughout historical processes, facilitating a more accurate analysis of contemporary Turkey.

Learning Outcomes
1To acquire knowledge about the general characteristics of Turkish society and the sociological and historical factors influencing these characteristics;
2To be able to evaluate the common and unique outcomes of various societal processes such as politics, culture, and economy within the context of Turkish society;
3To assess the reflections of comprehensive societal transformations brought about by modernization in Turkish society;
4To address contemporary social issues relevant to Turkish society from the broad perspective provided by sociology.
5To understand the reasons and consequences of rapid changes occurring in Turkish society, especially as influenced by the process of globalization.
