The aim is to enable students taking the course to learn about Turkey's societal structure and issues throughout historical processes, facilitating a more accurate analysis of contemporary Turkey. |

1 | To acquire knowledge about the general characteristics of Turkish society and the sociological and historical factors influencing these characteristics; | 2 | To be able to evaluate the common and unique outcomes of various societal processes such as politics, culture, and economy within the context of Turkish society; | 3 | To assess the reflections of comprehensive societal transformations brought about by modernization in Turkish society; | 4 | To address contemporary social issues relevant to Turkish society from the broad perspective provided by sociology. | 5 | To understand the reasons and consequences of rapid changes occurring in Turkish society, especially as influenced by the process of globalization. |
