Objectives of the Course
It is aimed to enable students to gain general information about the field and sub-branches of anthropology, to inform students about cultural, historical and environmental elements related to anthropology, and to enable students to comprehend different anthropological explanations about human nature and social life.

Basic concepts and principles of social anthropology, its scope and purpose, its relationship with other sciences, definition of culture, cultural characteristics, theories of social and cultural change, theories of social and cultural change. The relationship between applied anthropology and social work.
