Objectives of the Course
Within the scope of this course, the definition and subject of social work as a science and professional profession; its historical development in the world and in Turkey and the reasons for its emergence; human rights of social work, welfare state and social justice, social work and welfare, intervention, resources, etc. evaluation in terms of concepts; knowledge and skills of social work theory and practice, problem detection and solution processes, interaction, social worker-client, social environment, intervention methods and techniques-stages, interview methods and techniques; It is the acquisition of data about the problem, identification of the problem, planning, providing resources, transition to implementation and evaluation and finalization stages.

Course Contents
Social work; its definition and impact areas, its emergence as a professional profession in the world and in Turkey and its historical development, application areas. Philosophy, values, ethics, processes and approaches of social work; other disciplines that assist social work: the roles and duties of the social worker; professional identity of the social worker; dilemmas in social work.
