Objectives of the Course

To equip students with knowledge, skills and competence about the science of fiqh, its sources, methods of jurisprudence, deduction of rulings from sources and legal reasoning (ijtihad).

1	The students realise the disciplines of fiqh and usul al-fiqh.
2	The students explain the historical development of usul al-fiqh, its methods, and its relationship with other disciplines.
3	The students know the sources of usul al-fiqh, the deduction methods of legal rulings, and the subjects of jurisprudence.
