Objectives of the Course
- That the student recognizes the reasons for the emergence of Islamic sects - That the student be acquainted with the circumstances of the emergence of the sects, the origins, ideas and opinions that advocated them. The student should identify the men of each group and the role they played in the formation of the group. - That the student recognizes the differences between Islamic sects

Course Contents
This article deals with the definition of the science of Islamic sects and the legitimacy of research in it. A presentation of the historical stages that the Islamic sects went through, and an explanation of the origins of each sect and the differences between them and the other sects.
