Objectives of the Course
To be able to determine the health needs that can be met with mental health and psychiatric nursing interventions in line with the nursing process of the individual, family and society, to protect and improve mental health, to gain knowledge and skills about the care of patients with psychiatric disorders.

2Protecting mental health, knowing the concepts related to mental health, defining coping mechanisms
3Will be able to define the characteristics of the developmental period, adapt the knowledge of the mental health nurse about the characteristics of the developmental period to the field of practice.
4Be able to play an active role in the resolution of the problem as a member of the team in the recognition of mental health disorders.
5Will be able to define the duties and roles of psychiatric nurses in first, second and third level health services.
6To provide education to individuals and society on mental health
7Will know psychopathologies and treatment approaches and drugs used
8Will be able to plan and implement nursing interventions specific to psychopathologies.
9Will be able to define psychiatric nursing theories, philosophy, principles, standards and roles.
