Objectives of the Course
After completing this course, student will be able to; - Improve his/her knowledge and skills on basic statistics, descriptive statistics, common statistical distributions and properties, simple correlation and regression, sampling distributions, error types, Test of hypothesis for dependent and independent group means - Solve problems relating to these subjects by reflecting on his/her experiences, Develop adequate course plans.

2Graphical representation of the data, summarize and makes interpretation.
3Know types and characteristics of distributions. Know sampling dist. and hypotesis testing.
4Learns regression and correlation analysis, applications, makes comments on the results.
5Learn and apply the non-parametric statistics. Make Chi square test applications.

Introductionto Statistics, Basic concepts Scaling, Types of Data, Discontinuous variables, Continuous variables Frequency Distributions Tables Graphics for continuous variables (Polygon, Histogram) -Descriptive Statistics Location measurements (Central tendency measurements) Variation measurement -Descriptive Statistics for Frequency Distributions Tables -Correlation and regression -Classical distributions Discrete distributions ((Binom ve Poisson) Continuous distributions (Normal Distribution) -Sampling distributions and hypothesis tests -t – distribution -Student t test for two independent groups -Paired t test for two dependent groups -Proportion tests -Chi-square distribution and Chi-square tests -General review and problem solving
