Objectives of the Course
This course aims to understand the dimension of international trade in goods and services and to understand the basic theories, concepts and institutions, to explain the technical and legal functioning of international money-goods flow in subjects such as customs, logistics and banking, and to create a background for the field courses to be given in the future on these foundations.

Learning Outcomes
1Has the knowledge of reaching, evaluating and applying basic information about Customs Management.
2It carries out a given task independently by using its basic knowledge about Customs Management.
3Interprets and evaluates data using basic knowledge and skills acquired in the field of Customs Management, defines and analyzes problems and takes part in/takes responsibility in the studies planned for solution.
4Evaluates the basic level of knowledge and skills acquired in the field of Customs Management with a critical approach.
5It contributes in accordance with social, scientific, cultural and ethical values in the stages of collecting, interpreting, applying and announcing the results of the data related to the Customs Administration area.
6It uses information and communication technologies together with computer software at the minimum level of the European Computer Use License required by the Customs Business area.
7It contributes to projects and activities for the social environment in which it lives, with the awareness of social responsibility required by the Customs Business area.
8Has sufficient awareness of individual and public health, environmental protection and occupational safety.
9It is sensitive to the events on the agenda of the society and the world in the field of Customs Management and follows the developments.
10Defines and analyzes the problems by using the basic knowledge and skills acquired in the field of Customs Management and takes part in/takes responsibility in the studies planned for the solution.

Course Contents
The course includes the explanation of the general framework of import-export, customs, foreign exchange, standardization and incentive legislation regulating Turkey's foreign trade, the organizations involved in foreign trade, the documents used, the delivery and payment methods the extent of global trade.
