Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course is to gain skill about growing techniques and breeding of oil crops and to educate agriculture engineers knowing problems and solving suggestion of oil crops in Turkey

The importance of soybean, sesame, groundnuts, sunflower, rapeseed and safflower; distribution of these plants around the world; production status, their plant characteristics, their climate and soil requirements, their growing techniques (soil tillage, crop rotation, fertilizing, planting, weed control, insects and disease control, irrigation, harvesting) and storage
