Objectives of the Course |
To provide a general understanding of the extremely rich content world of Classical Turkish poetry with the commentary methods of Classical Turkish poetry with selected examples from texts between 13-19th centuries. To gain the ability to understand, explain and interpret the texts of classical Turkish literature and to analyze and analyze these texts and to apply different approaches such as philological, etymological and semantic approaches in understanding the texts. |

1 | Understands the traditional and modern methods used in understanding, explaining and interpreting classical Turkish poetry texts. | 2 | Based on a wide variety of (religious-sufufic or non-religious (profane)) textual examples, he determines and interprets the rich content world of Classical Turkish poetry. | 3 | Identifies and evaluates the religious-mystical, national, social, cultural, aesthetic and poetic elements of classical Turkish poetry from text samples. | 4 | To be able to read Turkish texts in Arabic script selected from the specified periods, transfer them to Turkey Turkish and analyze them. | 5 | Have a sense of professional ethics and responsibility. |

Course Contents |
Definitions of text commentary, text analysis and text analysis and the differences between them; traditional and modern approaches and methods for the commentary of religious-mystical or non-religious Classical Turkish poetry texts; outlining and reinforcing the necessary background knowledge for the commentary of a text; drawing attention to the religious-mystical, national, social, cultural, aesthetic and poetic elements contained in such texts with practical examples. |
