Learning Outcomes
 1 Understand the laws of statics as evidence by the ability to identify a given description or formulation. 2 Recognise and understand the different load types. 3 Recognise and appreciate the structural response of simple, pinned, roller and fixed support types. 4 Understand the fundamentals of static equilibrium. 5 Understand the structural behaviour of truss frames and three pin frames. 6 Determine coordinates of centers of gravity for volumes, areas and lines. 7 Aware of the friction between rigid bodies.
