1Recognise and understand the different load types.
2Recognise and appreciate the structural response of simple, pinned, roller and fixed support types.
3Understand the fundamentals of static equilibrium.
4Understand the structural behaviour of truss frames and three pin frames.
5Determine coordinates of centers of gravity for volumes, areas and lines.
6Aware of the friction between rigid bodies.
