Objectives of the Course
Introduction to electromagnetism and electrostatics: electric charge, Coulomb's law, electric structure of matter; conductors and dielectrics. Concepts of electrostatic field and potential, electrostatic energy. Electric currents, magnetic fields and Ampere's law. Magnetic materials.

1have learnt the fundamentals of electromagnetism and optics;
2get acquainted with the concepts of Gauss’ and Coulomb’s Law and obtain the expressions of electric fields and potentials;
3able to solve problems dealing with electrostatics, potential, and electrostatic energy;
4be able to find the solutions for the magnetic fields using Amperé and Biot-Savart Laws;
