Mechanical engineering historical development, mechanical engineering subjects and departments. Engineering designs, dimensions and units, various concepts. Laboratories and mechanisms in mechanical engineering. Stress and strength, materials used in machine construction and test methods. Importance of practical education in university. Manufacturing methods. Machine elements, gear wheels.
