| Level of Course Unit | First Cycle | Objectives of the Course | The aim of this course is to provide students with; to introduce the muscle cell, to enable him to understand the muscle contraction process, muscle fiber types and the changes that will occur according to the type of exercise, to comprehend the types of contractions and their relationship with exercise, to understand the ways of energy production, energy production in the exercise and recovery process, the circulatory system, respiratory system, blood, hormones, acute and to learn the changes in chronic exercise. | Name of Lecturer(s) | Öğr. Cansu ÇOLAK | Learning Outcomes | 1 | To be able to understand the muscle cell, organelles and functions that form the basis of movement, to explain the process that enables contraction to take place.
To be able to learn fibril types and their properties, to understand the concept of motor unit and its interaction with the fibril it is attached to.
To be able to describe the effect of strength, speed and endurance exercises on fibrils.
To be able to distinguish the types of contractions and to understand their use during exercise.
To be able to distinguish the energy formation processes in the body and the ways of ATP production according to the type of exercise.
To be able to describe the circulatory system, its functioning, the structure and characteristics of the heart and vessels, and to understand the acute and chronic responses of the circulatory system to different types of exercise.
To be able to explain the athlete's heart, its types, characteristics, to define blood pressure and to distinguish its changes according to the type of exercise.
To be able to distinguish the respiratory system, its functioning, changes in a single exercise and as a result of regular exercises.
To be able to distinguish the blood system, its functioning, changes in a single exercise and as a result of regular exercises.
To be able to describe the endocrine system, its functioning, the hormones that are effective in exercise and their effects on performance.
To learn the basic principles of training programming in children and young athletes. |
