Objectives of the Course
To know the tractor which is main power source of farming machines from all aspects, to learn the working principlesand the structure of the parts forming the tractor. Introduction to tractors and their developments, classifications, principal components of tractors, such as coupling system, brake system, hydraulic rigging, tractor mechanics, tractor power.

Learning Outcomes
1To learn how to drive a tractor.;
2To learn about the engine, the clutch organs, gear box, differential, axes of the tractor and working principles an the parts of the final reduction.;
3To learn about steering systems, hydrolic lifting systems, power take off systems in terms of their working principles and parts.;
4To learn mechanics of the tractors, the possibilities of falling over of the tractors along with their computations.;
5To learn about the tractor power and its distribution and tractor power need in various farming processes.;
6To bound the tool and the equipment to the tractor and use it under working conditions.To learn tractors stabilizations from different conditions ;
7To learn determine the problems with the tractor and eliminate some of them within the workshop facilities.;
8They should know the tractor maintenance and apply it,They should be able to analyze the static and dynamic forces of the tractor and determine the falling over angles ;

Attendance to classes is mandatory. Lessons are conducted face to face.
Course Contents
The content of the course consists of the importance of tractor in agriculture, usage areas, structural features, power and transmission systems, steering systems and dynamics.

4Basic calculations in mechanical clutches, Double disc mechanical clutch, Double acting (two-stage) mechanical clutch, Hydraulic clutches
5Powertrain, Gearbox, Slip gear gearbox, Continuous contact gearbox, Planetary gearbox, Group gearboxes, Quality and structures of gearbox elements, Efficiency in gearbox.
6Differential, Final Reduction, Walking Organs, Wheeled walking organs, Front axle, Rear axle, Track width adjustment, Tractor tires.
7Steering System, Normal (mechanical) steering system, Hydraulic steering system, Brake equipment, Basic relations for brakes, Types of brakes, Operating brakes, Single acting brakes (simplex brakes), Double acting brakes (duplex brakes), Servo acting brakes, Brake calculations , Drum brake calculation, Disc brake calculation
8TRACTOR EQUIPMENT; Tool Coupler and Tow Hooks, Three-Point Suspension System, Hydraulic Lifting System, Normal hydraulic lifting system, Automatic hydraulic lifting system, Stimulators controlling the working depth, Stimulators controlling skidding, Stimulators controlling the drawbar force, Stimulators controlling the lifting height, Drawbar force , automatic hydraulic lifting system controlling the lift height.

12TRACTOR MECHANICS; Determination of Center of Gravity in Tractors, Forces in Tractor at Stationary State, Tractor in horizontal position, Tractor in incline, Tractor in lateral inclination, Determination of stability in stationary tractor.
13Forces in Rear Axle Driven Tractors, Effect of Forces on Tow Hook and Drawbar on Stability, Determination of Wheel Perimeter Force, Tractor Draft Force and Walking Resistance, Tractor Weight.
14TRACTOR EXPERIMENTS; Principles of Testing of Agricultural Tractors, General rules, Tractor selection, Preliminary preparations for the experiment, PTO power measurements, Drawbar power measurements, Rotation characteristics and determination of the center of gravity, Brake test for wheeled tractors, Noise measurements, Hydraulic lift test, For Agricultural Tractors Testing of Protective Frames and Cabinets.
