Objectives of the Course
Learning from the history of the science of aging, old age, old age, look how it is in the world and in Turkey, gerontology and geriatrics sciences with other disciplines, theories related to old age, old age, and ensuring compliance with the changes in the old age, improving the quality of life in old age, old issues of discrimination and neglect-abuse The role of maintenance element, to know the policies for the promotion and protection of health in old age, the elderly relevant associations, organizations and institutions, and laws and regulations concerning issues such as the elderly and aged care to ensure that information in relation to the element's field of work.

The history of science, the definition of old age and old age. Descriptions of Geriatrics and gerontology. Theories of aging. Physiological and psycho-social changes related to aging. The epidemiology of aging and demographic situation in Turkey and around the world. Quality of life of elderly individuals. Common problems in the elderly. Ageism and age discrimination in the widely held belief. Turkish culture, age and status of the elderly. National and international policies of old age.
