Introduction: Description of Highway Superstructure Service level concept and road surface properties, Types of pavement and characteristics Pavement type selection methodology, Flexible Superstructure layers (foundation, sub-base and bituminous mixtures) and properties, Material Used in Highway Pavement Properties and Tests (Aggregate and Bitumen), Design of bituminous hot mixes (Marshall Design Method), Performance characteristics expected from superstructure and types of deterioration
