Objectives of the Course
It aims to provide basic information about the historical process of furniture design, furniture types and comparisons based on different architectural and art movements.

Learning Outcomes
1To have sufficient knowledge in the history of furniture design and to be able to re-express designs when necessary.
2To be able to use furniture, which we call antique furniture today, used in furniture history, in interior architecture projects.
3The current and trend concepts learned together with the knowledge of furniture history contribute to the designs they create in the projects.
4It helps to recognize and understand the works that appear in auctions.
5It gives students the ability to express themselves in conversational environments related to antique furniture.

The transformation of furniture from the ancient times to the present day with the development of society, styles, styles and major designer and producer masters are discussed and how it came to the present day is explained chronologically.
