Objectives of the Course
To explain structure and elements of building heating systems and their operation. To realize basic calculations used for designing of heating systems.

1To recognize structure of central hot-water heating systems.
2To describe principals of zone heating systems.
3To recognize elements of central heating systems, to identify their characteristics.
4To apply heat loss calculations for normal and roof-based heating systems.
5To use heat transfer correlations for heat loss calculations and to apply selection calculations for pipes, heating materials and pumps.
6To recognize heating systems used in high buildings (skyscrapers).
