Objectives of the Course |
The objectives of the course are to give information about dairy cattle management; dairy cattle breeds; keeping and analyzing milk records; fundamentals of endocrinology for dairy cattle; calf rearing techniques, housing of dairy cattle as well as milk secretion and handling; milking tecnhiques; factors influencing quantity and quality of the milk. |

1 | Students will be able to choose breeding cows with high milk yield after phenotypic evaluation. | 2 | Students will be able to prepare rations for cows in the different stages of the dairy cows, after learning feding techniques. | 3 | The most appropriate dairy cattle breed will be able to be determined after learning breed characteristics of the dairy cattle breeds. | 4 | Students will be able to learn milk recording systems and to utilize from them for practical purposes in the cattle herd management. | 5 | Establisment of the milking systems and their useage will be able to be learned. |
