Objectives of the Course
The relationship between the changes in body structure and functions in the elderly, the principles of nutrition in chronic diseases which are common in this period and the formation of appropriate nutrition plans for the elderly, teaching the nutritional approaches to the elderly.

3Knows the principles of nutrition in chronic diseases in elderly and regulates dietary treatment.
4Know the effects of drug use on appetite, liquid and nutrient requirements.
5Knows the types, characteristics and nutritional problems of dementia.

Course Contents
Students who complete this course; learn the factors that affect the nutrition of the elderly within the risk group; protect, improve and develop the elderly health and will have the nutritional information to prevent and treat the chronic diseases. Will be able to apply plans and programs that will provide healthy nutrition in this age group.
