| The aim of the course is to democracy with a conceptual framework of democracy to introduce the basic principles and institutions of the interdisciplinary with a look and associating with the subject of Turkey instance, students, active citizens to gain a perspective about the democratic process and debate, a relationship with the spirit of the student democracy gain culture; it aims to be able to manage and enrich individual and social life with this profit. |

| The course deals with the subject of democracy in a theoretical and practical framework. First, he considers the philosophical and moral foundations of democracy in relation to its relevance in political theory. It discusses whether democracy is only a set of procedures, or a theory with fundamental foundations that enforce certain institutions and norms, and discusses the issue in relation to areas such as religion, economics and law, except politics. In addition, in practical terms, it looks at the political institutions and procedures necessary for political participation as a citizenship right, and in particular the issues related to the transition to democracy in terms of Turkish political history. |
