Objectives of the Course
The first goal of this course will be to stress the critical importance of planning before data is ever collected. The second goal will be to maximize inference from that data with sound statistical techniques. It will aid students from any discipline that requires designing, implementing, analyzing, and reporting their research. It is also important that you understand the underlying concepts. It is the underlying concepts which will allow you to handle situations not specifically covered in the course.

Course Contents
The course is designed for students who have the knowledge of basic statistical concepts. It covers the essential concepts related to research design and statistical analysis of data that practitioners need to become critical evaluators of research and prepare for conducting research in their practices. The major uses of statistics by researchers, including regression analysis, design of experiment and analysis of variance, are covered.
