Level of Course Unit
Second Cycle
Objectives of the Course
In this course, detailed information is given about the nutritional element circulation of plants with the aim of increasing and sustaining fertility in grasslands. Within this context, application time and amount of organic and inorganic nutritional element resources applicable in grasslands are determined and the ability to build interdisciplinary relations about the efficacy of climate, soil and other factors is gained.
Name of Lecturer(s)
Yrd. Doç.Dr. Ösmetullah ARVAS
Learning Outcomes
1The nutritional elements that grasslands need unlike field agriculture.
2Application styles, time, superiority and disadvantages of chemical and biological nutritional elements of plants.
3Positive and negative effects of macro and micro nutritional elements on the biological diversity in grasslands.
4The effects of nutritional element resources applied on water and soil pollution and the formation of eutrophication.
5The reasons of nutrition losses in grasslands eliminating it.

Course Contents
To enable the students 1. To have basic information about significant nutritional elements in grasslands. 2. To have information about nutritional element resources that might meet the need of nutritional elements of plants in grasslands. 3. To have information about the concentration of nutritional elements of plants in both the plants and soil and the reasons for this. 4. To have information and ability of evaluating the materials used in meeting the need of nutritional elements of plants in grasslands in terms of plant, soil and water resources. 5. To have information about nutritional elements in plants bringing about bio-element abundance and the negative results of this situation. 6. To have information about the significance of natural grasslands in aspects of nutrition, biological diversity and environment. 7. To have information about micro nutritional element and heavy metal contents of nutritional element resources to be applied. To have information about the effects of organic matter and Ph on nutritional elements.
